Who We Are

The Sequoia Natural History Association (SNHA) is one of 65 non-profit educational organizations partnering with the National Park Service. SNHA provides vital services to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and Devils Postpile National Monument, which are not otherwise available through federal funding.

SNHA partners with the Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Kaweah to provide environmental education and book sales.  Lake Kaweah is located just outside Sequoia National Park.

SNHA is a membership organization open to the public. When you support SNHA you are helping to preserve Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Devils Postpile National Monument and Lake Kaweah for the future.

On May 30, 2001, President George Bush became the first American President to visit Sequoia National Park while in office.  During a speech to park staff the President showed support for non-profit park partners.  "I, too, want to thank the board members of the Sequoia Fund, and the board members of the Sequoia Natural History Association.  Thank you for working with these fine public stewards to make sure this park offers this beauty for every citizen who wants to come here."  The President went on to say, "Working with the local community and the Sequoia Natural History Association, we will offer the young and old alike an opportunity to learn more about the wonders of nature."
