The Sequoia Natural History Association
is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting education, interpretation, research,
and the natural and historic preservation of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Devils Postpile National Monument, Lake Kaweah, and other areas of the National Park System. The Sequoia Natural History Association (SNHA) is committed to enriching the experiences of visitors and promoting public awareness of the significance of national parks through educational programs, publications, and financial support. 
SNHA operates the bookstores in the park visitor centers, manages the Pear Lake Ski Hut, offers field seminar courses and custom programs for groups and schools, publishes the parks’ free visitor newspaper, and runs the Beetle Rock Education Center and the Sequoia Field Institute.

National Park "Fee-Free" Weekends for 2009
- The National Park Service will waive entrance fees on the following six days in 2009: June 20 -21, July 18 -19, and August 15 -16 in recognition of these tough economic times. Entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation fees will be waived on these days, however camping fees will not.  These fee-free weekends will be in addition to fee-free days on National Public Lands Day, September 26, and Veterans Day, November 11, 2009.
