1946 SNHA resumes business and publishes first book, Crystal Cave
1969 NPS Chief Interpreter, John Palmer, assumes the role of SNHA executive secretary

1977 SNHA assists NPS with the operation of the Pear Lake Ski Hut
1978 SNHA takes over the operation of Crystal Cave
1979 Field Seminar program is established with 6 courses
1980 Membership program begins and reaches 200 members
1981 SNHA provides financial support to open Walter Fry Nature Center in Lodgepole
1982 Crystal Cave ticket booth gets constructed
1984 John Palmer publishes the first Seedlings newsletter
1985 Publication revenue $241,000
1986 SNHA provides $10,000 to create the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Foundation
1987 John Palmer becomes the first executive director
1988 First annual SNHA membership meeting and picnic
1989 SNHA opens office building at Ash Mountain
1990 Publication revenue $395,000 and membership exceeds 600 members
1991 Challenge of the Big Trees is published
1992 Tyler Conrad joins SNHA as second executive director
1993 SNHA starts bear-resistant canister rental program
1994 SNHA hires first visitor center employee
1995 Number of items offered for sale exceeds 700
1996 Mark Tilchen selected as SNHA’s third executive director
1997 SNHA establishes its own website and mail order service
1998 SNHA announces plans to operate the Beetle Rock Education Center
1998 Visitor center staff grows to 8 employees (SNHA hires its first employee for Devils Postpile)
1998 Field seminar program grows to 24 courses
1998 SNHA takes over full operation of the Pear Lake Ski Hut from NPS
2001 First Education Director is hired
2001 Sequoia Field Institute is created
2001 SNHA begins repairs and remodel for the Beetle Rock Education Center
2002 Beetle Rock Education Center opens
2002 SNHA opens new bookstore in Giant Forest Museum
2003 SNHA partners with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Kaweah
2003 SFI begins to lead backpacking trips for WildLink
2003 SNHA opens the Sierra Nature Store in Visalia through 2004
2005 Office is enlarged to allow more room for book distribution
2005 SNHA creates a marketing department to promote the association and the parks
2006 SNHA opens Children’s Bookstore as part of the NPS Beetle Rock Family Nature Center
2006 Visitor Center staff increases to 18 employees and membership exceeds 2500
2007 SNHA purchases a Toyota Prius for the National Park Service motor pool
2008 SNHA funds the NPS Junior Ranger program– making it free to park visitors
2009 SNHA and NPS begin a solar generation project at Crystal Cave
2010 Celebrating 70 years helping the parks
2011 Funding is received to host "Sequoia Summer Service Weeks"
